WhatsApp Transfer issue from Redmi Note 11 pro to iPhone 16 pro max
Hi everyone, I recently bought a new iPhone 16 Pro Max and have been trying to transfer my WhatsApp data from my old phone, a Redmi Note 11 Pro. I’ve been following the standard method using the "Move to iOS" app, along with a few tutorials on YouTube, but I keep running into issues and can’t complete the transfer.
When I choose the "Transfer via Cable" option in the Move to iOS app on my Android device, I get a "Transfer Failed" error. I’ve attached a screenshot of the error message for reference. On the other hand, when I try the "Continue with Wi-Fi" option, the Android phone just stays stuck on "Connecting..." and nothing happens, even if I leave it for 10 minutes or more. I’ve made sure both phones are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. I also performed a factory reset and ensured that all necessary permissions are granted for the Move to iOS app. I’m using the original Apple cable that came in the iPhone box, so I assumed that should work for a wired transfer.
I’m wondering if the issue could be the cable itself (as error mentions using usb 3.0). Is there a specific type of cable required for transferring data from Android to iPhone using Move to iOS? Or is there something else I might be missing? If anyone has gone through a similar situation or has any advice, I’d really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance!
