iPhone screen dimming due to heat trapped by phone case
How do I fix this issue with not seeing the screen?
For years, I struggled with brightness on my iPhone dimming within a few minutes of being outside on a sunny day. I’ve researched ittried replacing a few, talked with Apple dropouts.. I mean geniuses, tried replacing a few, ask questions in multiple forms, including Reddit…..
” I think I figured it out”….
” turn this off”, “ “ turn that off”,
” you need to turn off auto brightness” ………
And I swear I would get so ****** off when I seen a response like…” you have to turn True Tone off”.
For years, they spend the same bull rap. It wasn’t till after borrowing a buddies android because I sent my phone in for screen dimming, that I realized how flipn bad this situation is. At the time I had a 12 the android was a version 8, and not one time on one of our hottest days did it dim, while everybody else was covering up their phone so they could read or see. I was fed up and refused to get the 16 for this very reason but my wife seems to feel like the world will stop if our phones are different. (it used to be about the text messages bubbles, and the video downsizing while sharing… but now all these things have been resolved, and the two phones can interact fairly well nowadays).
OK, so that was my intro..
Today on June 29 at high noon, I came outside on a hot day to shop on Amazon and have a coffee… three minutes into it the screen dimmed, and five minutes into it, it is at its normal firm 60% brightness.
I figured I’d give it another search because AI responses have been pretty awesome… I figured it was worth a shot. But I came to the typical Apple forum with the same questions and the same idiot saying turn auto brightness off. Responses that were a few days ago and 100 days ago, even a couple years ago.
But!!!!!
I found a user that had a resolution.
and here it is:
” take your case off “
👆🏿Soulution / Fix / This is it 👆🏿
and that is it folks. The user stumbled across it and ironically, the replies are turned off.
He mentioned that while watching a movie, his screen dim and his case was hot and so was the iPhone so he took his case off…..and TaDaaa.
This is the one thing I’ve never tried and this is
this really really really worked
I am not a conspiracy theorist, but I am telling you without a doubt Apple in some way is filtering out these fixes or responses. I have no doubt on my mind.
people will spend $1400 on a phone and then buy a two dollar gadget to cover the screen so they can read. The insanity is insanity. People are like robots. They just take it and take it and take it and think that it’s fine.
auto brightness
true tone
zoom
white point
these are not the issue. For the love of God, Allah or whatever, stop offering that suggestion.
take off your cover
It’s trapping the heat.
I came outside on a sunny day and my screen went dim & within five minutes. I could barely see it. I took my case off, cycle powered, the screen came back bright (no surprise there) and has stayed bright for the last 45 minutes. I’m in the same spot same time a day when my screen dimmed after three minutes.
Please share this resolution on all your social media platforms.
