How do I sign out of messages on MacBook Pro?

I'm wondering how do sign out of messages on my MacBook book Pro, and if possible I'd like do know how to stop receiving messages from my MacBook Pro.

What kind of messages are you receiving? Do you mean you are getting messages sent to your iPhone on your Mac?


For the Apple Messages app you can click on the Messages Menu at the op of the screen when the Messages app is opened, then on Settings then on @Messages, and finally on Sign Out.


If you just want to stop messages form your iPhone on your Mac, you can turn off Text Message forwarding directly on the iPhone. In Settings ➜ Apps ➜ Messages ➜ Text Message Forwarding ➜ Turn off your Mac there or turn it off completely.
