iPhone 16 pro 99% battery health in 158 cycles

Some people said that battery health usually dropped around 230, but my iPhone dropped at 158 cycles. My daily screen time was like 8 hours, but I saw that other people like me weren't like this. Actually, I wasn't very upset, but is this normal? By the way, I was very careful about charging my phone and usually limited it to 80%.

Actually, your iPhone is doing much better than expected. I don't who these people are you cite, but on average for every 50 cycles, battery health declines about 1%. Give you have been through 158 cycles, your battery health would logically be in the 97% range. So be thankful, you have a great battery and it is doing very well. Very well indeed.

You can't compare your battery health to another person's battery health. No two people use their phones in the exact same way. There are too many variables. And battery health decline isn't linear. It can remain steady for a while then drop a few points all at once. The one thing you can be assured of is there is no way to stop battery health decline. Worrying over the natural aging of batteries is a waste of worry. You can't stop the decline and all you need to do is pay Apple to replace the battery when its health dips to 80%, which is will do if you own the phone long enough.

At 158 cycles, your battery should be displaying 97%.

If your battery was "average", it would have displayed 99% at 50 cycles, 98% at 100 cycles and 97% at 150 cycles.

You should send flowers to Apple.

Some people said that battery health usually dropped around 230.

Some people are making stuff up. They don't know what they are talking about.

Don't try to babysit the battery, it will do what it will do. When the battery is down to 80%, it needs to be replaced.
