It is best to stick with the issues you have instead of referring to a post using iOS 14 with a completely different phone, so neither the software or hardware is the common link. Are you experiencing Notifications not appearing like the referred link? If you have a Watch that is expected behavior.

Yes the app names will be helpful and it is fine if you want to focus with one at a time. Start with Remove App not showing and post a screenshot of what you do see.

I know you have restarted your phone, but have you done the Force Restart using the steps below to clear corrupted caches. It may take a couple of attempts to get the speed and sequence of the key presses corrert.

  • Press and quickly release Volume Up
  • Press and quickly release Volume Down
  • Press and HOLD side button until the Apple Logo appears. It may take up to 15 seconds before the Apple Logo appears and you want to ignore anything else on the screen during that time. If you do not see the Apple Logo, try again.

The Factory Reset is a useful tool and is why Apple will do that if you schedule an appointment. Data corruption on your device is not stored in your iCloud backup and if you have a computer that is best to also restore iOS. Apple will do that for you if you do not have a computer. Currently iOS 18.5 is on millions of devices so if there was a problem with the OS causing those wide spread issues, these forums would be filled with the same complaints and you would not be referring to a 4 year old post using a completely different OS.

Nope sir, I do not shut it down...I am in the EMS world and it is on 24/7. The daily reboots is because my apps start becoming glitchy, as in the link I shared, do not want to open up, a stupid one...I could not hold and delete an app (was not needed anymore)...the remove app was not there, after a reboot it appeared, this happens to other apps also, the "remove app" is just not there.

I cannot name one app, as it spans all the apps I do use and then I know...time for a reboot; then things start working again.

I cannot simply do a factory reset...and hope is works; my iPhone will simply restore from the iCloud.

I know the article is a little old, but is 100% relevant in my case.

I actually purchased a Samsung S25+...was planning to switch to another device...but hey, I have an iPhone right :-)

That is why I posted it, wanted to see if there was anybody else; seems isolated to my setup.

Yes I do this daily.

I think I have my answer...for all the effort of another factory reset I will spend it and switch to another device rather, after a factory reset it runs fine for a while...then back to the "gremlins"...enough so that I reached out because of frustration.

No problem. I thought the point of your post was to resolve the issue you had on your iPhone. As you have seen from your search on this forum, it would appear to be an isolated case for you since it has not been reported with your set up of an iPhone 16 Pro Max using iOS 18.5.
