Since upgrading my iPhone to iOS v. 18.5, I can’t find how to put my caller ID in hide mode?

Go to Settings>Apps>Phone, scroll down to Show My Caller ID. You may be able to turn it off there. Not all carriers allow users to turn off Caller ID on their own. You may need to contact your carrier and talk to them.
It works, but only after rebooting, so it was just being finicky, again. I often find my phone works much better after a reboot. I usually do it once a week, but sometimes, when something isn't working right with it, or with one of my computers, a reboot is all it takes to be back in the groove.
Thanks ChrisJ4203. I found it, but having to go into the “Apps” setting, since the iOS 18.x updates, just to find it (and a few other things), is such an unnecessary step, IMO. I don’t often need the option, maybe 1-3x a year at the most, so I’d forgotten where it was (though I was close). 😔
Once I got to the correct screen, the toggle switch to turn Show My Caller ID on/off didn't show up. I remember this being an issue last time I wanted to do this too. All I get is a spinning gear wheel. I timed how long it spun this time… 3 mins 20 sec., at which point I decided to reboot the phone. That seems to be the only way to make it work properly.
Like I said, not all carriers will allow that, and that communication from the phone has to go through the carrier if they allow it. Then it has to perform the action. I'm pretty sure the time it took had to do with the carrier as well.
The change in accessing settings for apps in iOS 18.x can seem confusing at times, but I find it nicer to be able to locate settings for all apps easier that way instead of having to wonder where the setting for a particular app would be.
