Does locking iPhone screen slow down the process of iPhone restore through iCloud?

Just setting up the new iphone 16 and restoring my backup from the icloud

However the screen keeps going into the lock screen during the process

Does that slow it down or does it keep restoring? It is incredibly slow saying it will take 2 days to restore

Not sure if the fact it keeps going into the lock screen makes a difference

No, locking the screen doesn’t stop or slow down the iCloud restore. It continues to run in the background. It might look like nothing’s happening, but it is still working and doing its thing.

The long restore time could just be due to a large backup or slower Wi-Fi. Keeping it plugged in and on a strong connection usually helps move things along.
