iPhone 15 plus bent after charging

I plugged my device in and left it to charge came back and my device housing unit is bent. I took it to Apple and they told me it’s physically damaged and I must have done something to it, I pay for Apple care and they are telling me that I need to pay the 150$ physical damage fee. the phone has zero scratches, cracks or anything how is it fair that they deem it as I physically damaged it, they asked

me if I sat on it! Do you know how large I need to be to bent this phone?! I called the support they told me the same thing, clearly the phone is defective and they will not replace it unless I pay. this is absolutely ridiculous if I broke it I would pay for it no issues, but it’s less than 8 months old and I didn’t do a thing to it!

I ended up escalating the issue with the Apple Store manager, they indeed determined the battery inside the phone caused the warp as the battery malfunctioned and expanded, so yes the phone can bend itself without physically damaging the device.

so for others if this happens, it did to myself.

Phones don't bend by themselves. Either you sat on it, or someone physically had access to it to bend it. Certainly charging an iPhone couldn't bend it.

But ChrisJ4203 is correct. This is a user to user only forum. We aren't Apple. We aren't associated with Apple. So, we can't help you with your issue. You'll need to work this out with Apple yourself.
