iPad Air randomly locking without power button press

It’s a problem I am facing on my M3 iPad Air. Even when the power button is not pressed the screen gets locked randomly on its own sometimes. I tried to check the same by removing the cover and still the problem was persistent. So I am guessing it’s a software issue. Is anyone facing the same?
