Apple Care Text - scam?

I received this text, I’m assuming it’s a scam:

Apple Cares: A charge of $139.46 was deducted from your Apple Id via Apple Pay. Call support team at 8**********75, If this was not done by you.

I’ve been an Apple customer for a long time but never gotten a message like this before so I’m assuming it’s a scam.

Definitely a scam.

Always assume that any phone numbers or links found in unsolicited text and e-mail messages will connect you to scammers.

If you think there might be a issue with your account, check with Apple and/or your bank using contact information that you have looked up, for yourself, from official sources that you know that you can trust.
