Canon TR8620a scanner utility error on MacBook Air

I just bought a new Canon TR8620a printer/scanner last month. My Macbook Air is 2020, running Sequoia 15.5. I can print a document from my computer without issues. I get an error message (see above) when I try to open the scan utility. That’s as far as it will go. I just downloaded all the current printer drivers and all files recommended at the Canon site, the status has not changed. Any suggestions?

From canon and specific to this printer/scanner >>>Wi-Fi® (Wireless LAN, 2.4 GHz, IEEE 802.11b/g/n)5

About AirPrint

Connect an AirPrint printer to a Wi-Fi network

Then, use the builtin application Image Capture

FYI - No additional Third Party Software from Canon is required

I have the same printer and Mac. I have no issues. I went to "ij.start.canon" web site, selected the printer and let it do the self install all drivers including the Canon IJScan Utility Lite. All works fine with my 2020 MBA, Mac Mini M4 and iMac Intel machine. I would try the install once again. If you just use the Apple apps you do not get all the Canon features vs downloading from Canon site.
