Difference in advertised and actual storage capacity on iPhone

I bought a 1 terabyte phone but it shows 1.02 terabyte capacity (not that I'm mad about it ) is it the same for everyone?

“Available” Capacity different from iPhone Storage I received a message that the physical storage space was low on my phone. When I checked available “IPhone Storage” this made sense because there was 1.01 TB used of 1.02 TB and I checked [Settings > General > About] the “Available” line under “Capacity” showed a couple hundred MB. After deleting some large media and files I checked [Settings > General > About] again to see if I was making a dent and the “Available” line under “Capacity” now shows 16 GB. However, “iPhone Storage” still shows 1.01 TB. Why are these two readings different? Am I doing something wrong? I suspect an issue with iCloud because it basically ruins everything but I’m probably just being cynical. For additional context I have 4.7 GB used of 6.05 GB available in my iCloud storage. Why my phone says iPhone storage full but I purchased 2tb in iCloud ,it’s like wasting money to add a storage in iCloud but still says full Keep on telling me iPhone storage full that’s I purchase that 2tb for storage but still the same .how can I fix this?

it's because of the 2 number system that computer stuff use to count

like 1kB is not 1000Bytes but 1024Bytes
