Difference in advertised and actual storage capacity on iPhone

I bought a 1 terabyte phone but it shows 1.02 terabyte capacity (not that I'm mad about it ) is it the same for everyone?

it's because of the 2 number system that computer stuff use to count


like 1kB is not 1000Bytes but 1024Bytes
