Hard to tell if that is a real charge, or a fraudulent one.

The description seems to be saying "This is a bill from Apple.com, in CA (California), a vendor with phone number 866-***-****." Out of an abundance of caution, I would not trust that phone number. If the charge is from Apple, that phone number will be legitimate – but if it is from a scammer [EDIT: WHICH SEEMS LIKELY, SEE NEXT POST], it will connect you to the scammer. Some of the scammers out there undoubtedly know what legitimate Apple credit card charge descriptions look like … and are clever enough to use similar wording to disguise their attempted thefts.

There is a "If you don't recognize a charge" section here:

Subscriptions and Billing - Official Apple Support

I would start there. Apple often "bunches up" App Store and iTunes Store purchases made on different occasions, so if the $106.61 is legitimate, it might be the total of several purchases.

If it is not, you want to know that as soon as possible, so you can contact your bank.

Here's a good reason not to call that number:

HubPages (March 31, 2024) – The Apple iTunes 866-712-7753 Scam

"The number listed in the charge is not associated with Apple in any way. This entity has been defrauding many iTunes customers since at least 2014."

Google search provides an AI summary that claims that this number is both legitimate and used in scams. This is quite possibly an AI "hallucination." Or possibly a case of scammers tacking a real number onto many fraudulent charges, in the hope that the number will serve as "camouflage" so only some of the victims dispute the charges.

Check your purchase history directly with Apple (as outlined in the Support article), and if the charges still seem to be illegitimate, contact your bank.
