mds crashes in Sequoia 15.5 Mac mini M4 Pro

For some reason mds process keeps crashing on my Mac mini M4 Pro. I have disabled the extensions from 3rd party apps which install plug ins for spotlight. I have also reinstalled Mac OS and also deleted the spotlight index.

I am thinking it maybe a bug within the process, is there any other troubleshooting I can do?

The only thing that jumps to me is Carbon Copy Cloner

Had a similar issue while using an earlier version CCC that was resolved in 7.1.1

It's usually Spotlight

If and only if you are willing - post the full report and yes do give Etrecheck Application >>

Perhaps there is something in there we can catch which maybe was overlooked ?

In regards to Spotlight and TM Backups and disabling Spotlight for TM Backups

Preface, I have never used Onyx.

Though based upon an very senior and respected contributor @ BDAqua

You may wonder this before moving forwards with disabling Spotlight for TM Backups

Thanks so much. That's very kind of you. I have disabled Spotlight on the external drive as in your previous link to carbon copy. I have also disabled it on my Network drive which I use to back up. I wonder if it might be an idea for my Time Machine backup as well?
