How to deactivate the annoying CapsLock icon on Sequoia

I’ve been using the Sequoia operating system for several months now, and I’ve encountered the unpleasant surprise that every time the Caps Lock key is activated, an icon appears indicating that it is on. Unfortunately, there is no option in the system preferences to disable this dreadful feature. If anyone can help me get rid of this, I would be very grateful. I’ve been a Mac user since the 90s, and I’ve never come across anything as irritating as this.
