New Macbook Pro M4 Pro - This macbook has been used to create too many apple IDs

So, I got a brand new, totally sealed, from a reputable reseller macbook pro m4 pro. I opened the seals and started the setup. When I was about to create a new apple id (its my first apple product so I never had an apple ID), I got the message : This mac has been used to create too many apple IDs. Thats not possible of course since the device was brand new and totally as Ive said sealed. I pressed back I think during setup and then I did it again and it allowed me to create one. However this message worried me. I asked apple and they said they can confirm thats a new device and I checked the activation timestamp is the day I bought it , sortly after opening it and connecting on the internet. Can someone tell me whats going on and I got this message? Is Apple trying to cover something or it was really just a false message / technical glitch ?

Regards

Hi ,

The reseller is one of the official resellers of Apple in Greece and the biggest tech shop in Greece.

Mac was not refurbished and arrived at its package with full graphics etc (refurbished ones just say : macbook pro on the box and dont have the actual laptop).

As Ive said apple reaffirmed many times that the laptop is new and that this is a known glitch that happens sometimes due to the various layers of security that apple has, however if thats the case, I find it odd that the message is so specific and they just dont throw a generic message instead.

Also apple confirmed that this laptop had made only one apple id (mine) and if indeed someone had made many accounts with this laptop as per message, then the lock would persist and would not get resolved by pressing back and forth during setup and retrying.

Mainly I posted this to see if anyone else has experienced this error, whether this is a known glitch across the community etc.

The second reason I post this is as a feedback that you cannot throw such type of messages as glitches, if really there is an issue with the communication or something just throw a " connection issue " etc.

Thanks for your response.
