“WhatsApp freezing and heating up iPhone — only with my account. Anyone else faced this?”

🔁 Issue Summary:

WhatsApp slows down or freezes and causes my iPhone 14 pro to heat up — but only with my WhatsApp account. Freezing issue is more seen when i do search from whatsapp with any text or string.

Tried it on both my old and new iPhones — same issue.

Other WhatsApp accounts work perfectly on the same devices. My whatsapp data is only 4gb.

🔍 What Apple Support Tried:

•⁠ ⁠Took full backup and reset the iPhone

•⁠ ⁠Restored WhatsApp from iCloud

•⁠ ⁠Offloaded and reinstalled WhatsApp

•⁠ ⁠Ran a full hardware scan — no issues found

•⁠ ⁠Confirmed iOS and WhatsApp are fully updated

•⁠ ⁠Checked all iPhone settings

•⁠ ⁠Tried restoring only WhatsApp — issue still happened

•⁠ ⁠Tested with a different WhatsApp account — worked fine

•⁠ ⁠Device has 60 GB free space

📌 Apple’s Conclusion:

The issue is specific to my WhatsApp account or backup data, which they can't fix as it’s beyond their scope.
