Unable to permantly delete m3 bitlocker loader from trash. Get error message about it might be locked and to check the permissions. Change all of that (unlock it, change to read/write), and it still remains. Not seeing it anywhere else.

The M3 FAQs say > https://www.m3datarecovery.com/mac-bitlocker/online-help.html#uninstall

If that doesn't work.

Then Safe Mode and/or SIP could very well be the key getting rid of that junk-ware.

Contact the Third Party Developers of the M3 Bitlocker for specific instruction on how to do this

https://www.m3datarecovery.com/mac-bitlocker/

Though, there are some enterprising claims regarding macOS 16 Tahoe, with is still in development

Meaning, until macOS 26 Tahoe is totally finished with its developments and bug fixes doing the Beta Testing Period

It is difficult to see how they can make certain claims

Welcome

I am kind of guessing you have tried to delete the Application ?

Perhaps my colleague @den.thed can comment on what follows

Reinstalling the application a new and then using the Developers Instructions to remove the Application are needed ?

That or disabling SIP first

This may or may not all the Emptying of Trash ( bin )

Then, Immediately Re-Enabling SIP

To remove BitLocker encryption from a drive using M3 BitLocker Loader on a Mac, you can either uninstall the software entirely or use it to decrypt the drive, depending on your needs.

If you want to remove the software, you can drag it from the Applications folder to the Trash. If you want to decrypt the drive, you'll need to use the M3 BitLocker Loader software to do so.

To uninstall M3 BitLocker Loader:

  1. Open the Applications folder.
  2. Locate the M3 BitLocker Loader application.
  3. Drag the application to the Trash.
  4. Empty the Trash to complete the uninstallation.

To decrypt a BitLocker-encrypted drive using M3 BitLocker Loader:

  1. Launch the M3 BitLocker Loader application.
  2. Select the drive you want to decrypt.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to decrypt the drive using the provided password or recovery key.
