When Apple first released the iPhone 6s Plus, nearly ten years ago, it ran iOS 9.0. It has received six major updates, and you can update it to the latest release of iOS 15 – currently iOS 15.8.4.

But not to iOS 16 or higher.

Unless you have not updated your iPhone 6s in a long long time, it is already running the most recent update......iOS 15.8.4.

Tap Settings > General > Software Update. Does the message say that your iPhone is up to date?

If yes, there are no more updates for the iPhone 6s.
