If there is a firmware lock, you must enter the password requested.


If you are the original purchaser of this Mac, and have a receipt from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller, you could take this Mac in person to an Apple Store and see if they could remove the firmware lock. Absent proof of purchase that is acceptable to Apple, they will not remove it.
