iPhone 15 Pro Max battery draining faster than expected

My iPhone 15 Pro Max battery has reached 88%, although, the number of times it was charged was only 315 cycles, and I have been using the phone for no more than a year and a half. Is this normal and how do I contact Apple to solve this problem?

Under ideal conditions, the battery would be at about 93-94% at this time. The fact that the battery is now at 88% would indicate that the battery is declining a bit faster than normal.

That does not mean that the battery is defective. You can make an appointment at the Apple Store / Genius Bar or an authorized Apple service shop to have the battery checked and tested.

Remember to replace the battery when it is down to 80%.

All rechargeable batteries are consumable components that become less effective as they chemically age.

Recent software updates can accelerate that process by adding features that consume more power.

As lithium-ion batteries chemically age, the amount of charge they can hold diminishes, resulting in shorter amounts of time before a device needs to be recharged.

Li Ion (Lithium Ion) batteries have recharging capabilities; however there are limits.

Temperature Effects on Li *** Battery Life:

  • Capacity loss in standby applications is largely determined by temperature
  • Annual capacity loss tends to decline as the battery ages
  • 80% remaining capacity is generally not the end of a lithium battery's useful life, but recommended by Apple for replacement

I recommend to slow charge your iPhone to maximize the charge capacity, battery health and efficiency. ⚡️🔋

NOTE:
Temperature: Charge above -30°C and Discharge below 55°C

Apple won’t replace the battery until it reaches 80% capacity.

While your iPhone’s battery is a bit below average decline, there can be many things aside from charge cycles attributed to it, such as if you let your iPhone’s battery get low or dead, using iPhone in extra hot places, using it more heavily, which can degrade the battery a bit faster. But the difference really is only marginal and I wouldn’t worry about it. It isn’t a problem until it reaches 80% battery health, that’s when it would need to be replaced.
