How do I reconnect AirPods Pro to my iPhone after losing the case?

I accidentally made my phone forget my airpod pros and I have also lost my original airpods case and am using a cheaper non-apple alternative. I now seem to be unable to pair my airpods. How do I fix this?

Connect your AirPods and AirPods Pro to your iPhone - Apple Support

Connect AirPods and AirPods Pro manually

If you don't see the setup animation when trying to connect your AirPods, try to connect them manually.

  1. With your AirPods in the charging case, open the lid.
  2. Do the following, depending on your device:
    • For AirPods 4 (both models), double-tap the front of the case until the status light flashes white.
    • For all other models, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until the status light flashes white.
  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. When your AirPods appear in the list of Bluetooth devices, select them.
