Hi All,
Interesting question for everyone. Though it's not a necessity, is there a way to change the icon that appears when you login to your machine, to a picture you save from the internet? Right now my icon on my name is a globe and I think that might be an icon that comes with Mac. I was just curious.
Thoughts?

System Settings > Apple Account (the top one on the left), then click the round picture to select something else. If you want to use something from the Internet, you'd need to save the image to your Photo Library to select it.

Did you drop your "Internet pic" into your Photo.app Library...?

OK so that is my issue. I can't seem to be able to drop the phone in my photo apps library. Seems like a simple task. If I right click the photo click copy I can't paste it into the library. I also don't see a place to pull it from.
There's an Import option, but you can literally just drag-and-drop the image into Photos. Either into the open window of the app, or right onto the application icon in your Dock or in the Applications folder, and that will automatically import the image into Photos. Welcome to Mac.
Just figured it out while I was troubleshooting. I have not used the photos app until now. I found the import option.
