Potential Apple ID scam via text message

I received this text a few minutes ago. Has anyone else received something similar to this? Can we confirm this is definitely a scam and does Apple support know about this?

iPay: Your Apple Id has been charged with $136.83 at the Apple Store. Contact Support executive at 1(833) ******, If this seems unauthorised.

Yes it is a scam seen by many. The only difference is the dollar amount and the contact number to tailor the message to a particular scammer. Note, there is no such thing as "iPay".

The sending addresses are just spoofed so there is no way to track them down. The phone numbers are just VOIP numbers that can be changed frequently and have no identifying information. I still get the fake UPS/Fed Ex package delivery scams for the last 8 years.
