Apple Developer Enrollment & D-U-N-S Boondoggle
I have been working on react web apps for a while now and thought it would be a great pivot to turn one of them into an iOS app! Most of my project work has been through an LLC so in order to have a proper name and setup an Apple Developer account for my business I created an Apple ID. When in the process of trying to enroll, I found out I needed a D-U-N-S number from Dun & Bradstreet - which I had never heard of before. I signed up, filled out my information, waited my 30 days (since I won't be hustled for $250 to expedite my number), and entered my D-U-N-S number into my developer enrollment process.
I notice that the address for my LLC is completely wrong in the auto-populated enrollment fields which prompts me to stop the process and check my Dun & Bradstreet account. After hours of trying to navigate through the poorly loading website I find that the scientists over there had given me number for an LLC that was similar in name but matched ZERO of the documentation I gave them (name, address, EIN, etc...). This resulted in back and forth with support for weeks which eventually ended in me being told to resubmit my info and get a NEW (correct) D-U-N-S number.
Now that I have my new number, I've gone back to enroll in my Apple Developer account, to publish my app - the whole point of this process. Only to find out that I cannot re-enter my D-U-N-S number and the enrollment process is bricked, asking me to contact support. Apple support informs me that I have a different account, stating that Apple Developer Account has already confirmed my identity and quote "I am not able to see the exact reason for the apple account being rejected. That information is not made available". Pointing me in the direction of using a different apple account and enroll as an organization to fix this. This has led to the following.
Original Business Apple ID: Bricked Enrollment Process (Old D-U-N-S)
Original Apple ID (made in middle school): Contact Support Error During Enrollment
New Business Apple ID: Blocked Account Creation
I know this is a large ask, but what do we think the difficulty will be for me to get any of my accounts to allow me to pay to have a developer account to publish an app for my legal business in the United States that I pay taxes for? The only other solution I could think of is finding a homeless person and using their drivers license to create an apple account, but that seems wrong.
I am posting this to see if anyone has had any similar issues or has course of action to fix, been on support with two companies for over a month now and seem like I'm running in place.
