Am I the only one who thinks the 11” iPad Air M2 battery or software is causing excessive battery drain? After less that a years time my battery is at 87% health and only about 3 hours from an 80% charge to 15%.
Anyone care to opine?

All of those activities use energy, Youtube videos especially.
Go to Settings/Battery and it will show you the apps that use the most energy. Is your iPad cellular or Wi-Fi only? Cellular uses much more energy than Wi-Fi.
What are you doing as the battery SoC is dropping?
I’m not sure I understand your question. So if this helps, I do a number of things, like surf the web, watch YouTube videos, check email, play chess on line with the Chess.com app, edit photos, etc.
