Go to System Settings > Accessibility > Display > Text

There, you can change the font size of many Apple apps. Maybe one day, 3rd party apps will have adjustable size too. But until then, you might have to play around with these settings and the overall display resolution. You could scale up all font sizes, and then scale Apple fonts down. That might create the effect you're looking for.

The original poster expressed a desire to modify the text size on their MacBook to appear larger while preserving its resolution.

It is possible that the OP’s expectations are influenced by their experience working with Microsoft Windows, where it is straightforward to increase the entire system text by scaling it up without altering the resolution.

However, macOS, the operating system used by Apple devices, operates differently from Microsoft Windows.

Note that Macs often offer Retina scaling modes where the Displays Settings “resolution” is for sizing purposes, and applications can draw in detail on a canvas with 2x as many pixels in each direction.

E.g., I have a 27” UHD 4K monitor running in “like 2560x1440” mode. The Mac draws on a 5K (5120x2880 pixel) canvas, then downscales the contents of that canvas to get a 3840x2160 pixel signal for the display.

The Mac is NOT simply drawing in 2560x1440 detail and wasting part of the 3840x2160 panel resolution. This is something that Windows users often fail to understand.

Hum, not sure what to make of this ?

If you are implying, that you have recently moved from Microsoft Windows to Apple macOS ?

My wife, of over 4 decades, still uses Microsoft Windows

Her eye sight is not the best.

So yes she uses the Feature in MS Windows to Scale Up the TEXT for the Entire Operating system and all Applications to 125 %

As has been mentioned by others

There are some Limited Options available in MacOS from Apple
