I cant find "add esim" on my 13 pro yet it should support. PS there is no sim restriction, phone has two IMEI codes (one for physical sim and one for esim). My carrier supports Esim. How can I add the Esim option?

Your carrier must set you up with an eSIM (compatible) contract. You can’t transfer from physical SIM to eSIM without their assistance — unless they support eSIM Quick Transfer (if you try and it works, then they support it).
About eSIM on iPhone - Apple Support
Then you would do eSIM Carrier Activation.
Settings > Cellular > Convert to eSIM > …
or
Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM > …

Are you SURE that the phone does NOT have a dual nanoSIM slot?
(That would identify it as a Chinese market phone; which doesn’t support eSIM)

The sim tray is of a single sim. I even tried swapping with a dual sim tray but still detects one physica sim. I did contact my carrier but was of no help. I could however pay another visit.
That’s unfortunate about your experience w/ your carrier (but not terribly surprising).
The level of understanding of this no-longer-new technology is still fairly poor amongst far too many CSRs.
