"iPhone 12 camera won’t focus up close: my iphone 12 (iOS 18.5) used to take great pictures, but recently it has not been focusing and the camera is completely blurry- unless it is a far picture.. anyone know why?"

Troubleshooting a Blurry iPhone Camera Photos:
Being these have met your expectations before, something has changed.
What to Try:
A. Try This - Disable then Enable Camera:
- Go to: Settings
- Tap: Screen Time
- Tap: Content & Privacy Restrictions
- Enter: Keycode
- Tap: Allowed Apps
- Tap: Camera (So it is Green-Colored)
B. Restart iPhone:

C. Are you Using a Case?
Make sure that the back camera is not covered(somewhat) - For note: the microphone part is located between the lens and the flash. So, make sure all is not covered.
E. Restore from a Backup:
Have a backup of your iPhone? If you are not concerned with losing data, then restore your iPhone from a backup that was made when Camera was working to your expectation. Prior to restoring, backup your iPhone, incase anything goes wrong with the restoration.
