LaCie harddisk not recognised by Sequoia 15.5

I plugged my 2019 1TB LaCie harddisk in my new Macbook M2 and it didn't work. I couldn't find anything in Finder.

BUT, I think I have the solution because after searching for USB drivers I stumbled upon a Dutch apple support page for windows. (Windows-ondersteuningssoftware downloaden en installeren op een Mac - Apple Support (NL))

I'm posting the solution here because I can't comment on anything else.

Want to fix the LaCie harddisk? Do as followed:

  1. Go to "Disk utility user" (schijfhulpprogramma in Dutch)
  2. When opening "Disk utility user", you see internal and eventually after a bit of patience, external.
  3. In the right upper corner there is "activate" (mine is already on activate, so it shows "deactivate"), click on it and have a little patience.
  4. Go to finder and wait a bit. You'll see the harddisk appear in "locations".

--- Sometimes you can try the First aid (In my case EHBO) button to help the process. My first try it didn't do anything, but the second try it did work out.

Good luck to everyone!
