Hi.
If you set up Screen Time with an Apple ID, you can reset the passcode by going to:
Settings > Screen Time > Change Screen Time Passcode > Forgot Passcode
Then enter your Apple ID to reset it.
If you didn’t set up a recovery Apple ID, the only way to remove the passcode is to erase the iPhone completely and set it up as new. Restoring from a backup will bring the passcode back, so it has to be a full reset without restore.
There’s no official way to bypass it otherwise.
Make sure this is being done by the parent or guardian responsible for the device.

Thank you. I appreciate your reply. It matches with what I've been able to find online or I should say, my son has been able to find, because he's proving to be better at problem solving this question than I am.
We get requests like this all the time from kids (trying to pose as a parent) who are obviously trying to override the parental controls on their phone.
So, most of us tend to be a bit skeptical when we get this type of request.
Fair question. I thought of that too. This is a catch 22. I completely understand not answering my question. Truth is, my son (whose phone I put my parental controls onto) and I both are problem solving this. He's going to find the answer before I do. And I'll be grateful for his help.
I learned my lesson the hard way by taking the story in a post at face value (and being tricked into providing information to junior.)
The parent posted back in a separate post and burned my ears off.
Neither Apple nor anyone in this user to user forum are going to help you circumvent your parents authority.
Are you the parent? How would we know that you are?
Completely understand. Thanks for being cautious. My son just got a summer job and I need to change the settings to reach him while he's at work.
