what will happen if i delete Application Support folder in my macbook air

My system data is 40gb.

and the Application Support folder contains 26gb.

so please let me know how can i free up the memory

Hi.


Deleting the entire Application Support folder will almost certainly break apps and some system functions. This folder stores important data required for apps and macOS to work properly.


To free up space safely, only delete folders for apps you’ve fully uninstalled or no longer use. Avoid removing any folders starting with com.apple or related to system processes.


Using Storage Management (Apple menu > About This Mac > Storage > Manage) is recommended to find safe ways to clear space.
