Manually changing the date and time on your device can interfere with how Screen Time tracks and reports usage.
Screen Time relies on the system clock to log app usage, set downtime schedules, and enforce app limits. If the date or time is altered manually, it can lead to inaccurate reports, missed downtime enforcement, or even allow apps to bypass set limits. For best results, it’s recommended to keep “Set Automatically” enabled in Settings > General > Date & Time, so Screen Time can function reliably and consistently.
