An iPhone is a single-user device.

You secure your phone and your account data by not allowing anyone else you use it, and by keeping your device passcode AND account password known only to you.

If your son needs a phone, procure one for him.

And to add… your son gets his own Apple Account on his iPhone, with Family Snaring and usually with Ask to Buy enabled.

Sharing a device or sharing an Apple Account tends to end badly.
