Unable to connect to Bluetooth devices without switching off/on bluetooth on iPhone - they show as 2 devices
Over the past few weeks my iPhone 13 running iOS 18.5 (22F76) has been failing to connect to any Bluetooth devices without intervention.
I have to manually switch off Bluetooth on my phone and then switch it back on again in order for successful connection, which seems annoying, particularly when i forget to re-connect to my hands-free in the car and then i have to stop in order to set-up.
I have noticed that the iPhone shows each device twice - AirPods, hands-free, laptop etc so it looks like it has connected once but still available to connect for the second instance. I cannot tell what causes the phone to enter this state but if I reset Bluetooth it seems able to connect properly to devices for a while then slips back to its annoying 'needy' setting!
Any help gratefully received.
Thanks.
