Unable to scan QR codes on iPhone 16 Pro Max

the scan just shows blank. I use an iPhone 16 pro max. How can I resolve this?

(keeping th iOS version updated often side-steps issues)

Eg: About iOS 18 Updates - Apple Support says iOS 18.6 is the latest version:

"This update provides important bug fixes and security updates"

(NB: It is wise to back up iPhone, if you choose to update iOS version)

Else: if already updated to the latest iOS:

You could try restarting your iPhone: (deletes temporary files, re-establishes connections, may update recent setting changes, and often restores order if something is not working as expected.)

If you are unable to scan QR codes it could be the camera issue, alternatively follow this process

See the pic below which is self-explanatory

Take a snapshot of the QR code from any other device and transfer it to your device. Open the Photo and Firmly Press the QR Code.
