How can I restart Google Maps on iOS 18.6?

So now we know what the issue is. Using a VPN on an iPhone is not only NOT needed, but it almost always causes connectivity issues. Not only TURN OFF the VPN, but open Settings > General > VPN & Device Management and get RID of the VPN completely. A VPN is ONLY required with an employer of school requires one and if they do, they should provide it. VPNs not only cause connectivity issues, but they are tracking your EVERY move and most garden variety free VPNs sell you data to anyone willing to pay for it. This means less security, NOT more. Finally, Google Maps won't work likely because the VPN is masking your location. DUMP IT.

Google Maps is working just fine on my iPhone with iOS 18.6. Things to try:

1. Go to your App Store App and see if there is an update for your Google Maps App.
2. If there isn't one, delete the app and reinstall the app.
3. Understand Apple didn't do anything to your Google Maps app. They don't own Google and have nothing to do with the apps functionality. Only Google can ensure their app is optimized appropriately when an update is released.

Google Maps works just fine for me using iOS 18.6.

When you say it "doesn't work," exactly what to you mean? Have you tried restarting your phone? Have you checked to see if there is an update to Google Maps?

If this were a real issue, this user site would be completely flooded with posts. It's not.

What troubleshooting steps have you tried to this point?
