Unlocking iCloud on a previously owned iPad mini 2

After updating my iPad mini 2, the owner of the device asked me to unlock my iCloud, and I learned that I bought an old device from the market.

There is no way to bypass the Activation Lock when you have purchased a used device that was locked to the previous owner. The only way to unlock it is with the credentials of that owner.


That is just one of the reasons why you need to be wary about purchasing a used device.
