New iPhone 16 Pro Wi-Fi connects but no internet access

New iphone 16 pro shows it is connected to the Wi-Fi but no sites requiring internet will connect. I have reset my google fiber connection and reset the phone several times without success. My iPad connects and my old phone connects just not this lemon.

Original Title: My IPhone 16 pro showed it is connected to the internet, but it is not. I have reset the router and phone with no positive outcome. Did I buy a super lemon?

Great. Now don't just turn off the VPN, go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management and get rid of the VPN completely. Delete the app if there is one as well.

Do you by chance have a VPN on your iPhone? What you've described would lead one to think you do. And VPNs on iPhone are completely unnecessary and often cause the type of issue you're seeing.

VPN's are a common problem with internet connections. Connecting to WiFi is not the same as connecting to the internet. Your phone is fine, the VPN is not.
