Messages crashes when certain threads are selected.

Reference to posts of Stephen435 on 11/19/23 and 11/26/23, The_Theo on 4/29/25, and Gwtwggrl on 4/13/25. I believe all contain aspects of the same issue. I found Stephen435 most helpful in describing the issue, but I may have narrowed the problem further.

- It seems to happen when I share a website link or copy and paste text from a website to group conversation. It would crash every time I selected the conversation. When I deleted the conversation, Messages would work as it should, until I shared content again. I could share content/copy-paste with other conversations with no problem. Recently, I shared a website link with a single contact (who uses an iPhone) who is also in that group conversation and Messages crashed and hasn't opened since. Immediately prior to that I had shared the same link with another contact (Android phone) and Messages didn't crash when I opened her conversation again.

-I am not sure when this issue started, but it has been since I joined the group conversation in 6/9/24. But obviously from Stephen435's posts the issue started in late 2023.

-Occurring on a Mac mini M1 2020, which is synced with my iPhone and iPad, and those two devices do not have the issue.

-As of the past couple of weeks Messages is having a hard time syncing with my other devices.

-When I open Messages on my iPhone it will appear on the Mac dock, but when I try to open it, it crashes.

-Since I can't open Messages anymore, I can't test deleting the two conversations to see if things work after that.

-Numerous crash reports have been sent. Maybe a tech could compare mine with Stephen435's report?
