Hi,
Google AI says:
The green dot on your MacBook's notch indicates that the camera is currently active. This is a privacy feature, and the green light will be on whenever the camera is in use by an application. To turn it off, you need to close or quit the application that's using the camera.
I suppose your MacBook camera is something wrong, you should run Apple diagnostics if it says something about camera related error.
Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac – Apple Support (AU)
The camera automatically turns on when you open an app — such as FaceTime or Photo Booth. However, you may check and deny camera access to Apps. See the pic below
A search brought me to this thread. I have noticed a green dot in the upper corner of my screen. This is not where my camera indicator is. On the model I am using, the camera dot is next to the camera in the center of my screen. See attached pic. Is this the same indicator? I moved the window so that it is visible. I noticed it about a week or so ago while I had a Netflix movie maximized. I originally thought it may be a dead pixel but looking closer I rethought that. I have denied permissions to the camera for all apps showing access. and it persists. Is it a camera indicator or something else? It remains there regardless of apps running, or none at all.

Grab a shot of that area, save it, then load it in Preview & move the pic around, do you see 2 or only 1?
