Xbox Controller not connecting to MacOS in Settings

Hello everyone.

I have an Xbox Controller which is the Model 1697. It is a wired Xbox Controller, and I have been trying to connect it to my Mac M1 Sequoia 15.6 using a Wired Micro USB to USB cable. So far, when I connect it to the Mac,

-Light turns on, controller vibrates

-When I go on hardwaretester.com/gamepad, the inputs I do on controller show up perfectly there

However,

-Controller does not appear under Game Controllers in settings, or anywhere else

I had tried doing that 360Controller Driver but it didn't let me install it, saying the author needed to update it and it got blocked. Additionally, I tested the controller on another windows laptop and it worked perfectly on there.

Does anyone know of a fix for this or is there no way to fix it for me?
