iPhone 16e stereo speakers flipped compared to iPhone 8 Plus

On my iPhone 16e, the stereo of the speakers is flipped compared to my previous iPhone, the 8 plus. This is confusing and I have yet to learn new muscle memory, so watching videos can get disorienting.

What I’d like is a toggle switch to flip Left and Right in the external speakers on the phone so that they again correspond to the correct sides of my head when I hold it the way I’m used to.

Is anyone else frustrated by this?

You may write in the feedback: “I’ve noticed that on the iPhone 16e, the stereo speaker orientation is reversed from previous models like the iPhone 8 Plus when held in landscape. I’d love an option in Accessibility to flip the Left and Right audio channels for external speakers — just like how audio balance is available for headphones.”

Well, even more reason to let us choose on our own depending on which way we hold the phone.

Don't tell us what you think Apple should let you choose. We aren't Apple here. This is a user to user only forum, which Apple doesn't participate, nor read for user feedback.

I've honestly never seen anyone ask about this here in the forums, so I kind of doubt many people are particularly concerned, but if you think Apple should give an option, tell them here --> Feedback - iPhone - Apple
