macOS15.6 Update: Guest User Memoji Pops Up and Vanishes at Login Screen

macOS15.6 Update Issue:

Guest User memoji pops up and vanishes, logging me in to Safari-Only Mode at login screen. I am able to login with just the click of a mouse. The issue is venerability from a direct login. I took a recording of it using my iPhone camera, and gave Apple a call. I was told it is an apparent flaw in the macOS update. Has anyone else seen this?

How this is played out (provided in pseudocode)...

  1. Power on my Mac
  2. View my users at the user login screen (Screenshot 1)
  3. A Guest User memoji is seen
  4. The Guest User memoji vanishes in a downward-left directive behind my own memoji
  5. I click on my memoji
  6. The Guest User memoji pops up
  7. I click the Guest User memoji
  8. A message pops up (Screenshot 2)
  9. I click Restart
  10. Guest User automatically logs in (no password prompt).
  11. A Safari window opens at login (Screenshot 3)
  12. I log out
  13. I login normally
  14. I open System Settings app
  15. I click Users & Groups
  16. I find that the Guest User is disabled (Screenshot 4)

"Try this: go to Users & Groups click the ⓘ next to the Guest User turn Off "Allow guest user to log in to this computer" click OK > then restart the Mac and recheck the behavior" If that does not help..?

Restart in Safe Mode followed by a normal Restart and recheck the behavior. Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support"

Thank you for the reply.

Thanks!

That fixed all of that! I provided Apple with the feedback, including the URL of this thread (Screenshot 1)

Spotlight Search has Issues:

Not certain if this is relevant or not, but tried opening System Settings through Spotlight Search[command key + spacebar]. But, System Settings does not show. But, Users & Groups IS shown. So, I rebuilt the spotlight index. I gave it just over an hour, but it still is not found. I reinstalled the macOS today, and that didn't help. Did a restart and then tried this is Safe Mode, and neither helps with that. (Screenshot 2)

Thanks again.

I'll have to follow up with app on this.

"1) it might not matter, but your keyboard Cap Lock is turned on"

Caps lock must have been press intermittently after typing the lowercase e, as not all are in caps. Or maybe not? Nonetheless, it still does not show.

"2) go to System Settings > Spotlight and make sure that the "System Settings" box is checked"

It is selected already:
