Security Key that works with MacBook Air m4?

Several weeks ago I tried to setup my new security keys on my (also new) MacBook Air m4. I tried both the YubiKey 5ci and the YubiKey 5C NFC, per recommendations here: About Security Keys for Apple Account - Apple Support and followed the instructions there as well. Unfortunately after several tries and troubleshooting, I wasn't able to complete setup for either set of keys.

Has anyone had success setting up a different security key on the MacBook Air m4? I'd like to try again. Thanks.
