turning numeric keypad off/on on extended external USB keyboard

I'm not sure what I did today, but the numeric keypad on my extended USB keyboard suddenly stopped working today. I swapped keyboards and the problem is still there, so I suspect I accidentally entered a combination of keystrokes that turned it off.

Any thoughts on getting it back on?
