Two different file icon of markdown on my iMac

I use Typora as my default markdown editor. However, i met a problem that there are two different file icon in my mac.

The upper one is the default icon of Typora, i love it.

But the newer files i created have the lower one, which is ugly and created with Typora app icon by mac. I want to set all markdown file icon as upper one. What should i do?

By the way, is there any way to set md file icon as Thumbnail icon. QLMarkdown is not helping. Thanks!!!

This is not a permanent way to address icons created by an app for new files, but you can change the displayed icon of an existing file by using the guidance here: Change icons for files or folders on Mac - Apple Support

I don't believe there is a way to change the icon that an app uses for files that it creates unless the feature is included in the coding. That would be something for the developer to address.
