How long does requesting a refund for an accidental in-app purchase on iPad take?

I accidentally started a free trial for an app and did not mean to. I requested a refund today a few hours ago through Apple’s system. I have autism and sometimes make mistakes with in-app purchases. I do not like waiting and would like to know how long refunds usually take and if there is anything else I need to do. My device is an iPad with the latest iOS.

Allow 24 to 48 hours to receive an update about the status of the refund then allow additional time (possibly up to 30 days if you used a credit or debit card) for the refund to be made to your account.
