If you don’t see the Wi-Fi “fan” when you open the Control Center you are not connected to Wi-Fi. You are probably using cellular data.

Go to Settings/Wi-Fi; what does it show for a Wi-Fi network?

Well, the phone cannot be "in Wi-Fi" if Wi-Fi is not connected on the phone, so let's get that clarified.

We understand that there are no Wi-Fi "bars" displayed on your phone......correct?

Please tap Settings > Wi-Fi to check the status of Wi-Fi. Is Wi-Fi "On" or is the setting grayed out so you cannot move the On / Off slider?

IF.....the setting for Wi-Fi is grayed out.......tap Settings > Bluetooth. Is the On / Off setting grayed out as well for Bluetooth?
