How to get iOS 17 update on iPhone X if it’s not showing?

iOS 16.* is the end of the line for the iPhone X, a phone which originally ran iOS 11.0.1. If you need to run a higher version of iOS, you need to get a new iPhone.

That's correct. You can't update an iPhone X to iOS 17, iOS 18 or the upcoming iOS 26 when it is released this fall.

An iPhone X cannot go higher than iOS 16.7.11.
